Porsche 997 GT2 RS (RHD) No 136/500

The Porsche 997 GT2 RS is a high-performance sports car known for its exceptional speed and handling. It was produced by Porsche between 2010 and 2012 as a limited-production variant of the 997 generation of the 911 model. It is powered by a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, derived from the 911 Turbo, This engine produces an impressive 620 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the most powerful 911 models at the time.

The car is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, providing a direct and engaging driving experience and capable of  0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of around 205 mph (330 km/h). It's renowned for its blistering acceleration and track capabilities.

To enhance performance, Porsche focused on reducing weight. The GT2 RS features lightweight components such as carbon fiber body parts, lightweight wheels, and minimalistic interior trim.  It comes with a specially tuned suspension system, including adjustable dampers and stabilizer bars, aimed at optimizing handling and stability at high speeds. The car is equipped with high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes, providing exceptional stopping power and heat resistance.

The GT2 RS boasts an aerodynamically optimized body design, featuring a large rear wing, front splitter, and air intakes to enhance downforce and stability.  Carbon fiber was extensively used in the GT2 RS to reduce weight and improve performance. This includes the hood, rear wing, and various interior trim elements.

The cabin is purposeful and driver-focused, with lightweight bucket seats, Alcantara upholstery, and carbon fiber accents. Creature comforts are minimized to save weight.

The Porsche 997 GT2 RS was produced in limited numbers, adding to its exclusivity and desirability among collectors and enthusiasts and the car we have for sale is no 136 out of only 500 ever made.

Its rarity and high-performance capabilities have contributed to its status as a sought-after classic Porsche model and making it one of the most extreme and capable road-going 911 models ever produced by Porsche. Its combination of raw power, advanced engineering, and limited availability has cemented its place as a highly collectible and iconic Porsche sports car.

In summary, the Porsche 997 GT2 RS represents the pinnacle of Porsche's engineering prowess, offering blistering performance, exceptional handling, and a focused driving experience. Its limited production run and iconic status ensure its enduring appeal among automotive enthusiasts and collectors.
