The 2025 BMW M4 CS Coupe is a high-performance, limited-edition model that bridges the gap between the M4 Competition xDrive and the more extreme M4 CSL. With production limited to just 1,700 units worldwide, this makes the M4 CS a highly exclusive, collector-grade M car, far rarer than the standard M4 or M4 Competition.

The M4 CS clocked a blistering 7:21.99 lap time around the Nürburgring Nordschleife, outpacing the Lamborghini Huracán EVO and Porsche Cayman GT4 RS, and only trailing the M4 CSL by a few seconds. Powered by the same 3.0L twin-turbo inline-6 (S58) engine as the M4 CSL, the M4 CS churns out 543 hp, a 40 hp boost over the M4 Competition xDrive. It can go from 0-60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 188 mph(with the M Driver’s Package). Unlike the rear-wheel-drive-only M4 CSL, the M4 CS features BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system, though drivers can switch to rear-wheel-drive mode for a purer experience. This gives the M4 CS added versatility for everyday driving while maintaining its track-ready DNA.

In terms of design and performance upgrades, the M4 CS is packed with carbon fiber, including the roof, hood, front splitter, mirror caps, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler. Inside, the M Carbon bucket seats are both lightweight and supportive, offering the perfect balance of comfort and track readiness.

It also boasts CS-specific suspension tuning, recalibrated steering, dynamic stability control, and an active M differential. The engine mounts are stiffer than those in the M4 Competition, enhancing throttle response and overall driving feedback. A CS-specific exhaust system with a titanium rear silencer further reduces weight and increases sound, delivering a more aggressive exhaust note.

Inside, the M4 CS is equipped with the latest iDrive 8.5 system, complete with a large, curved display. Despite its track-focused nature, it still retains essential features such as air conditioning, infotainment, and rear seats, setting it apart from the more spartan M4 CSL.
